These terms are an agreement between you and Mobnex Solutions Limited ("we", "us"), the operator of Pili. By using the app you accept them.
Read this part if you read nothing else. Pili introduces buyers and sellers. We do not own, inspect, store, deliver or guarantee any item, and we never handle the money. The sale is between the two of you. Meet in public, check the item before you pay, and never send money for something you have not seen.
You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Pili is a place to advertise second-hand household items to people near you, and to talk to them. It is a noticeboard with a chat attached. It is not a shop, an agent, an escrow service or a courier.
The full list is in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. In short: nothing illegal, nothing stolen, no weapons, no drugs or medicines, no live animals, no counterfeits, no adult items, and nothing outside the categories Pili supports.
When a seller agrees a deal, the buyer receives a private four-digit code. The buyer gives it to the seller only once the item is in their hands and they are satisfied. The seller enters it, which records the sale and allows both of you to rate each other.
The code is a record that a handover happened. It is not a payment, a guarantee, or protection of any kind. Money changes hands directly between you, on whatever terms you agree.
A rating can only be left after a confirmed handover, which is what makes ratings on Pili worth something. Do not trade ratings, buy them, or leave one to punish somebody for a disagreement that is not about the sale. We may remove ratings that abuse the system.
Be civil. No harassment, threats, hate speech, spam or attempts to move somebody off Pili in order to scam them. You can block anyone, and you can report anyone. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, without notice where the harm is serious.
Your photographs and words remain yours. By posting them you give us a licence to display and distribute them within Pili, and to use them to promote Pili, for as long as the listing exists. You confirm you have the right to grant this.
Pili is provided as it is. We do not verify users or inspect items.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between users, from an item bought or sold, from a meeting arranged through Pili, or from anything another user does. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Deleting your account removes your listings and profile; it does not undo sales you have already made.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Pili after that means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
